Our IT professionals have taken these classes because of the flexibility (evening, weekend and online courses), affordability (from free to fee-based), and real world value of the education. We are working on expanding the cities listed, for now, look up your local community college for Continuing Education classes. The job seeker who has the drive to stay updated on their technology, plus new ones, proves to be competitive and marketable.
We believe it is useful–and revealing–to better understand yourself, particularly in the areas of what drives your performance and how you relate to others.
These programs offer the chance to learn new technology stacks to boost your skills. They can be full-time programs over a number of months, or they may be weekend boot camps intended to provide a ‘crash course’ or a ‘refresher course’ to the technology. Boot camps can be an opportunity for career advancement. Some schools will tie in a job placement as part of their guarantee.
While many students take part-time classes to brush up or learn new skills on their employer’s dime, there are also 10- and 12-week immersive programs for students who want to make a career transition to IT.
